It feels so weird to be wrapping up yet another month and starting a new one, this year seems to be going by in a blink of an eye, but I feel like this is something that is happening more and more as I get older, I guess time just starts to fly by a lot faster as you get older. But enough of that as I’m sure everyone is tired of hearing about that since all bloggers seem to mention how fast the time goes by in their monthly posts, let’s just jump on in and talk about this past month.
My life is never really exciting, yet I write about it every month, I’m sure this isn’t the most interesting of posts but it’s something that I enjoy writing and something that I enjoy being able to look back on. This month wasn’t particularly exciting, but some things did happen that I think are noteworthy.
I’m going to start with our new cat! I’m very excited about this one, we’ve been talking about getting a kitten for a little while now and we did not get a kitten, but that’s because I am a soft person. The story of Flynn was we went to Target to grocery shop, I saw a kitty outside and of course, I had to feed it. I gave him a can of cat food as we were leaving and sat down on the curb to pet him, this cat is easily one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever met and me being me I couldn’t leave him behind, especially since we were talking about getting a new cat. And after having to quartine him for 10 days on a co-workers porch we brought him home. My other cat hated him, she still does but they are getting along a lot better now, two weeks after we’ve brought him home. Anyway, the internet meet Flynn.
And yes, I did name him Flynn after Flynn Rider from Tangled because he was an orphan. This little guy isn’t anymore, though.
Another thing that happened this month is I started working a lot more, like a lot more than I was. Two people left where I work, well, one left and one comes in way less now, but because of that, I’ve started working between 35 and 45 hours a week, which is good for me but a bit of a difference from what I was doing before. Before I was working maybe 15 hours a week each week, so that’s a big difference.
I also got sick this month, which was not fun and stopped me from working out for the week that I was sick, I got sick on a Monday and for three days was very sick, then I just took it easy for the rest of the week. I am back on track now, though, I know I’m doing quarterly updates when it comes to this but I just wanted to mention that because I’m pretty proud of myself.
I’m actually really proud of myself this month, I know I’m an adult and all but this is the first time I’ve ever juggled working 45 hour weeks, writing blog posts 4 times a week and working out 4 times a week, and so far, so good. So I’m proud of myself for being able to keep all of the things up. I’ve also mostly kept up with keeping our apartment clean and having some free time still, so I’m calling it a win and a good month.
Overall, March wasn’t the most exciting month I’ve ever had but it was a good month and very enjoyable. And that was pretty much all of the points that I’ve had for March. How did March treat you guys? Anything exciting happens?
