Lush Yuzu And Cocoa Shower Cream

Lush Yuzu & CocoaShower Cream Review

Its time for another Lush review, I feel like these have been very few and far between, but they have recently come out with a bunch of new products and I may have picked some of them up, so there will be a bunch of Lush reviews coming up in the next few months. Especially considering the Halloween and Christmas ranges will be coming, I can resist those two things, even if I don’t buy Lush as much anymore. Anyway, this one isn’t about that but instead, Yuzu and Cocoa Shower Cream.

I am reviewing this now partly because I wanted to and partly because this is leaving the stores and that makes me so sad, so I figured I needed to make sure that everyone was aware in case they weren’t. I’m probably going to ruin the review a little bit by saying this, but this is my all time favorite product from Lush, probably, so I am super sad that it’s going away and even though I have a mostly full 16oz bottle of it I am really tempted to pick up another one just because I do love it so much. Anyway, let’s dive on into the actual review.

I guess I’ll start with the best part of this product and that is the scent, I love the scent of this so much, it’s supposed to smell like chocolate oranges but I don’t get that at all and I feel like a lot of people don’t pick up that scent. The scent that I do pick up is even better than that, at least if you ask me it is, it smells like a tropical vacation and I love that. It has this really creamy scent to it while also smelling like coconuts lightly, it reminds me of something but I just can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe a little bit like suntan lotion but better, it’s just a really great, slightly sweet, creamy, tropical kind of scent.

I love the color of this too! That doesn’t play anything into what I think about this product but it is something added, it’s fun and bright.

I feel like the feel of this is what makes this even more special, it’s not just a shower gel but a shower cream, which to me means that this is a lot more moisturizing on the skin than just regular old shower gel. This does have cocoa butter in it, which is probably what makes it extra moisturizing and that extra bit more luxurious of a product. Also, on top of all of that, this one is Vegan, which non-vegan products don’t bother me but I know that some people strictly use vegan products.

Overall I love this, there is no secret about that and I would completely recommend this to any and everyone who likes this type of scent. I am so sad to see this one go and will have to keep a look out in the kitchen for it when I start running low.

Are you sad about Lush discontinuing so many products?

Lush Wishlist!

April 2017

I’m sure by now I’ve made it very clear that I really love Lush, I feel like I haven’t made that as known recently but I guess it’s time to fix that as today I am going to talk about my Lush wishlist. I tried to keep this to things that I haven’t tried before because there are so many things at Lush that I haven’t tried. This is a fairly long list, as things usually are, so I’m going to jump right into talking about this one.

Sunnyside Bubble BarI never tried the older version of this or the new one, but I kind of really want to get my hands on one. For one thing, I think this is really pretty, its gold and sparkly which sounds right up my alley, plus its half of mermaid water and that sounds like something I’d enjoy.

You’ve Been Mangoed Luxury Bath Oil this one is something that I have and haven’t tried, yes, it’s both. I have tried out the old style of this one and quite enjoyed it but I just haven’t gotten my way around to trying out the new formula, I really want to though.

Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub is something that I’ve already tried before, there are only three or four things that I’ve tried before but I haven’t had any of them in large sizes or more than once, so I decided to throw them in and this is one of them. I love to use this before I shave, nothing is quite as good as this but because I use it on my legs it ends up getting used up so easily and it’s expensive, but I would love to pick up a giant pot of this one.

Jersey Bounce Shampoo this is another one that I have had a small pot of before but am really itching to get my hands on, I just go through it so quick and there is no longer a Lush close to me so it’s just kind of a pain in the ass to get a hold of frequently, meaning shipping gets expensive when I’m buying this every two weeks. Then again, I could stock up on it I guess, either way, I really want to try this out again.

Tangled Hot Oil Treatment is something that I want to try because as my hair gets longer and longer it becomes more tangled and a little bit of a hassle, so I’m just curious if this would help my hair out and I really want to give it a go.

Hair Custard Hair Dressing this is something I’ve had a sample of and it went a long way, so that’s a little bit of why I’ve been putting off picking up a full size of this product, that and just the fact that it doesn’t really do much for me other than tame some of my flyaways and makes my hair smell amazing, but maybe that’s good enough of a reason to pick it up?

Sunny Day Hair Detangler is yet another thing that I’d like to try because of my hair being a tangled mess, I have leave in conditioner and detangler already but I love Lush and want to see how this holds up.

Celestial Facial Moisturizer the only reason I haven’t picked this up is because I have so many moisturizers at all times, I pick up samples all over the place and especially since I subscribe to the Sephora Play box, but I’ve always wanted to own this.

Breath of Fresh Air Toner  is a more recent addition to the list here, but it’s something that I want to get my hands on because I’ve been getting really into skin care as of recently and I don’t think I really have a toner.

Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter. I have a cuticle butter that I am working on but once that one is finished I’m really thinking about picking this one up, I just can’t decide if I want this for sure or not because it seems like a lot of product and it seems really lotion like, but I’m still kind of lusting after it.

From Dusk ‘Til Dawn Massage Bar is a weird one for me, I’ve never used a massage bar before but I do love moisturizing things and I really love the way that this one smells, so maybe this we’ll be something that I end up giving a shot. My only question is how to store this one since it’s such an odd shape, Lush should really make tins for their strangely shaped products.

Sophisticated Eyeshadow is something else I really want to try and this is something that I’ll probably pick up the next time I’m in a Lush store, I really like makeup and playing with it, plus I’ve been reviewing a lot more and never dipped into the mass amount of makeup that Lish sells so this may be something that I need in my life very soon.

Perspective Lipstick is another makeup product that I haven’t tried, I haven’t tried any of the makeup at all and often forget that they sell it, but this lipstick looks really gorgeous and like something that might be right up my alley.

And those are all of the Lush products that I’m lusting after, excluding a few random odds and ends, and all of the seasonal things just because I didn’t want to put in things that you can’t get all year round on this list, plus it was already plenty long without mothers day and easter.

So, what Lush products are on your Lush wishlist?

Lush: Lover Lamp Bath Bomb Review

loverlampreview

wp-1486491008464.jpg

I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve reviewed a Lush product, I’ve gotten a bit behind on reviewing them, I acquired quite a few products from the Valentines Range that I just never got around to using or reviewing, but I do plan on reviewing all of them eventually. For today I will be focused on talking about the Lover Lamp Bath Bomb, which I only got one of and am mildly regretting not picking up a couple more, but at the same time I already have so many bath products to use up that it’s probably a good thing I didn’t hoard these ones. They smell so good though so it was hard not to order just a couple more. Anyway, let’s start talking about the bath bomb.

I think the first thing that I want to focus on in this review is the scent of this one, it’s the best part of this bath bomb. To me, the scent usually is the best, which is why I will typically leave it for last but I just want to jump straight into this one. The one smells like chocolate oranges and is really heavenly, it has a little bit of a vanilla note to it as well which really balances it out nicely and makes it well rounded. I think this smells sweet, but not overly sweet, it’s a fairly mild sweetness and it has just a hint of bitterness that I believe comes from the orange in it. I just really think this scent is overall really great and I hope that they bring it back next year because I will for sure have to pick up a couple.

wp-1486491015331.jpg

Now to talk about the appearance of this bath bomb, which you have probably already seen in this post and will see below, but I still want to chat a bit about the appearance, especially seeing as this one is such a cute bath bomb. I feel like it doesn’t look overly exciting, but it is still really adorable with its white base and it’s cute little bright red cheery hearts in it. It’s very cutesy and very valentines day I think.

Now, let’s move onto the appearance in the bath, which I will have a photo below so you can also see what it looks like in the bath for yourself. I was really hoping that this bath bomb would be really fun, I feel like that’s the case with most Lush bath bombs, especially the ones that look really boring on the outside. They usually seem to tuck something fun on the inside as a little surprise, but I am sad to say they didn’t with this one, which I am a little bit disappointed by but it’s also not that big of a deal. Once you throw this little guy into the bath it fizzes out pretty quickly and ends up leaving the bath water a really milky white kind of color and the cocoa butter hearts just flat around in it, which is pretty cute, though I do wish there were a couple more in the middle of it like the Shoot For The Stars bath bomb had, I think that would have made it just a tiny bit better.

wp-1488486601789.jpgWhile this bath bomb isn’t anything exciting really, it still smells amazing and the other thing that I love about this is the moisture this one brings to the table. I think most Lush bath products are fairly moisturizing but this one takes it up a notch or two, as you would probably assume seeing as the hearts are made out of cocoa butter. So, once they dissolve the water feels so luxurious and leaves me feeling so moisturized when I get out of the bath, it’s quite enjoyable and it’s a really good bath bomb for the winter time and dry skin.

I think I’ve covered everything so now I’m going to list out the ingredients that are in this bath bomb. Also, this bath bomb is vegan.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate , Citric Acid , Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter , Fragrance , Vanilla Absolute , Brazilian Orange Oil , Titanium Dioxide , Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil , Organic Castor Oil , Polyglyceryl-3 Stearate , Limonene , Citral ,Red Hearts (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Glycerine, Gum Arabic, Sodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose, Red 40) , Gold Glimmer Lustre  Red 4 .

Ultimate Lush Kitchen Menu

I have decided to do something a little bit different for me, I’m going to talk about what my Ultimate Lush Kitchen Menu would be. If you don’t know, the Lush kitchen is in the UK and Japan and they make exclusive products, sometimes they make new ones but for the most part they make products that have been discontinued, they make these products in smaller batches. I will only be mentioning products that exist in this post, I may do another one sometime in the future about dream products that I wish existed but for now this one will be focused on products that already exist. I will also be doing this in kitchen menu style, meaning I will be posting two items per day of the week, which is Monday through Friday. I decided to do two per day because I knew it would be impossible for me to just pick five plus they seem to have been two products per day a lot as of recently. So, let’s just jump on in to the products that I would love to see in a kitchen menu week.

Lush Jester Bubble Bar Review

I feel like it has been so long since Ive posted a review for a bubble bar, I own quite a few bubble bars and I like using them but I just don’t find myself reaching for them too often. But, because of the holiday range and there be a bunch of new bubble bars I had to pick up one and the one I picked up was the reusable Jester bubble bar, so that is what I will be reviewing today.

Lush Shoot for The Stars Bath Bomb Review

Time for another Lush bath bomb review and this is another one that I already have a review of but once again Lush brought this one back this year with a new look to it, which I’m kind of excited about but a little bit sad about at the same time because I actually really liked the Shoot For The Stars bath bomb last year. Oh well. Now we have a new design to talk about so let’s get into it.

This is my last post for the month of November, which is so bizzare to say, I can’t believe that November is basically over but I’m very excited for Christmas so I guess I’m ready for December, I just can’t believe that we’re at another Christmas already.
