Summer 2017 Wishlist!

Add heading

It’s time for another seasonal wish list, a few months ago I posted a spring clothing wishlist and I’ve decided with it now pretty much-being summer that it was probably time to do one for the summer time, however this time around I’ve done a mix of products. Which really just means makeup, skincare and clothes basically, but still it’s a mixture of things that I am lusting after this warm season.

31ApstpzFIL Let’s start this list off with something very random, something small and very cute, the Tonymoly Gummy Bear Jelly Hand Cream in the scent Raspberry. Ulta carries a few of these currently but not this scent, and if I’m being completely honest I think I would like the scent but I really just want a cute little bit gummy bear to sit on my desk. Yes, I am aware that’s kind of a stupid reason for wanting something but I also really like hand creams and find myself using them a lot at work. Plus this one is just really cute!

52046189Let’s continue one with the kind of strange and weird products, let’s talk about these earrings from the SUGARFIX by BaubleBar collection for Target. I know these are kind of tacky and a little bit out there, but I still really like them and think that they would be a really fun and interesting piece for the spring and summer time, even if I’m not sure how often I would wear them. I just really like the colors and think they look super fun, so I may have to get my hands on these the next time I am in a Target.

41PhjmTGjLLI am a lover of nail polish as you may know, I also really like glitter even though I don’t wear it enough and in the summer time I love bright, fun things like most people, so I think this nail polish has all of those things. The is the China Glaze Polish in Point Me To The Party. This looks like it would be a super fun glitter topper to so many different colors and I really want to get my hands on it, or better yet it on my nails.

61brSII68IL._SX522_Another slightly strange item but a product that I think fits really well with the summer theme, mostly because everyone seems to be obsessed with beachy waves in the summer time. This is a Bed Head Wave Artist, which I have heard very good things about and seen some really great pictures of the aftermath of this. I am also not really a big hair person, I’m not good at doing hair and I’m usually really lazy about when I do because I just don’t like putting in the effort much, however, this seems like it’s very user-friendly and very easy to do so I am interested in this just for something a little bit different.

52309833I really like this dress from Target, I think this is very pretty, soft and summery which sounds like the perfect recipes for something on this list. The thing about this dress is I’m not really sure where I would wear it because while it doesn’t seem fancy it also doesn’t seem super casual, but I’m still loving the look of this dress and kind of lusting after this. Also, I think this would make a very pretty bridal dress for my rehearsal/if I start feeling hot and don’t want to wear my wedding dress any longer but I’m not sure about that.

51731865These sandals are the next thing on this list, they are from Target like half of the things on this list. I saw these and knew that they had to go on this list because I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to get these, they belong in my closet. I adore sandals and I really love beaded things, so I really need to get my feet into these.

Let’s throw it to some makeup, one of the few cosmetic items that are on this list is the Nars Orgasm Blush.  I don’t need this at all, but this is so hyped up and looks so pretty that I’m kind of drooling over it currently. This is one of the things on this list that I may not pick up, but I am still lusting over it.

I recently got a sample of the Mario Badescu Hylauronic Eye Cream and tried it out for a few days, I think I really love this stuff! I mean I only tried it out for a few days but now I really want to get the full size and see how it does because I really loved the sample size. I am never sure if eye cream does anything but when I tried this one I felt like it actually did.

52139802This dress from Target is the next thing that is on the list, I think this is really cute and the shape of this dress is a shape that I love. I also bought a romper recently that I think is this pattern as well, so clearly I am very favorable of this pattern. I really want to try on this dress and see how it goes.

CaptureThese Steven Madden Sandals are the next thing on the list, which means that this is the last thing on the list. I love these sandals so much because they look so metallic and I love that look! I think these sandals are very simple but that may also be a little bit of the reason why I’m really into them, they seem like something that could go with anything.

And those are all of the things that I am lusting after for the summer time, some a relvent to the summer and some are just things I’m really interested in at the moment, but either way this is still a wishlist. Because I am a shopaholic I’ll probably end up with most of the things from this list, but we will just have to wait and see what I think of a few of them.

What’s on your summer wishlist?

Foundation Round Up 2017

Foundation Round Up

I’ve decided to do something a little bit fun and different than what I usually do, of course, I blog about makeup all the time but I don’t think I’ve rounded up a bunch of one product to compare. In this case, I’ve rounded up all of the foundations that I currently own and I’m going to go over all of them just a little bit. Let’s jump right on in and talk about foundations.

I have seven different foundations to talk about today, I would have had eight if my Sephora order came in but it did not, so we are stuck with seven very different foundations to talk about which is plenty, I just kind of wish I could have gotten the last one too.

Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer in Light Natural. Is the first one up, this one is something I hear nothing but good things about and I’m not sure that I really like this. This is for sure a full coverage foundation but it really feels like it, like when I wear this I am completely aware that I have foundation on my face as it feels a little bit like a mask. So, I’m not really that into it. My other problem with this is the color, this is the new lightest shade that they make and it’s still not light enough for me, this is about two shades too dark for me so maybe I’ll be able to wear it in the summer, but as of right now it is just not the foundation for me. I do like it a lot more when I mix it with other foundations, it lightens it while also making it feel a lot lighter usually but by itself, it’s just not for me. Where To Buy: Milani Website Price: $10.00

Clinique Superbalanced Makeup in Alabaster. This is something that my future mother in law swears by, so being a makeup addict I had to try it out, especially when I picked this up I was testing out foundations for bridal makeup so my theory was the more the merrier. But, this is something that I don’t actually hate. I would not wear it for bridal makeup, it’s a little too sheer for me, I find that this has a lighter coverage which I don’t mind but it’s just not what I was going for in terms of wedding makeup. This one is also a tiny bit darker than I might like but this is something that I can still easily wear, so I do find myself reaching for this. Where To Buy: Clinique Website Price: $25.00

Wet ‘N Wild Photo Focus Foundation in Nude Ivory. This is another foundation that I feel like the internet is just in love with, this was hard to find at first but once I did find it I for sure picked it up. I hate the smell of this foundation, I want to get that out of the way because I think that is the only negative I have to say about this one, it smells like paint thinner and it is strong. I like everything else about this, I feel like this has good coverage but not quite full, so it still looks and feels like natural skin instead of like a mask. I think the shade range of this foundation is another plus, the shade range in store is kind of lacking everywhere that I’ve seen it but online it’s impressive for drugstore. So, I really like this one. Where To Buy: Wet ‘N Wild Website Price:$5.99

L’oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation in Creamy Natural. This is the newest foundation to me, I bought this maybe a couple of weeks ago and somehow managed to grab the wrong shade, I think this one was in the spot for the one that I wanted and I just wasn’t paying attention so I’m not sure what to do with this one, I haven’t tried it out a whole lot yet but the color match isn’t that bad, this still ends up being a foundation I mix with one of my lighter ones but it’s not that off. I do find that I like the formula of this one, it’s lightweight while still providing coverage, it also has lasting power and I really wish I had picked up the right shade. Where To Buy: L’oreal Website Price: $12.99

Too Faced Born The Way Foundation in Snow. This is the only mid-range foundation in this bunch, the clinique one is a little bit pricey but I would consider this truly mid range. This is probably my favorite of the bunch, if not my favorite then it is damn near close and comes in at second, this one and the next two foundations are all things that I really love so I’m splitting hairs a little bit talking about which is my favorite. This one feels natural on the skin, I never even noticed that I’m wearing it, but it still provides really good coverage and I think it can be built up to full coverage even. I think this foundation is completely worth the price tag. Where To Buy: Too Faced Website Price: $39.00

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation in Porcelain. This is the other one that really competes with the Too Faced one above for my favorite, it’s a really fantastic foundation and it’s drugstore. The shade match of this for me is perfect, it looks like it was meant for me, the formula of this is really good and lasts for quite some time. It is a matte foundation, I really want to try the glowy version of this but I haven’t yet, I was trying to use some things up. Anyway, this feels lightweight on the skin, gives some coverage and lasts for a little while so overall this is a really nice foundation, especially since it’s from the drugstore. Where To Buy: Maybelline Website Price: $7.99

NYX Total Control Drops in Porcelain. I think this is a little bit of a strange product but I find it to be really useful, especially with those couple of foundations that are the slightest bit too dark for my skin tone at the moment. I like these alright on their own, they give a light coverage and I find that it takes a lot of this to get a full face of this on. How I have been loving using this is mixing it though, it’s perfect for that and I’m pretty sure that’s the intended use of this product, it lightens without really changing the finish or feel of the foundation, which is a really useful thing I think. The only con to this one is that I can see myself using it up quickly. Where To Buy: NYX Website Price: $14.99

20170423_131456.jpgNow that I’ve gone over all of the foundations a little bit I think it is time to share some swatches with you guys. We will be going from top to bottom with these swatches.

Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-In-1 Foundation and Concealer in Light Natural.

Clinique Superbalanced Makeup in Alabaster.

Wet ‘N Wild Photo Focus Foundation in Nude Ivory.

L’Oreal Infalliable Pro Glow Foundation in Creamy Natural.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Snow.

Maybelline Matte + Porless Foundation in Porcelain.

NYX Total Control Drops in Porcelain.

And those are all of the foundations that I currently own and a little bit of what I think about each one, I don’t think I really own any that I don’t like, there are for sure ones that I enjoy more than others but I think for the most part I like all of these.

What’s your favorite foundation?

Lush Wishlist!

April 2017

I’m sure by now I’ve made it very clear that I really love Lush, I feel like I haven’t made that as known recently but I guess it’s time to fix that as today I am going to talk about my Lush wishlist. I tried to keep this to things that I haven’t tried before because there are so many things at Lush that I haven’t tried. This is a fairly long list, as things usually are, so I’m going to jump right into talking about this one.

Sunnyside Bubble BarI never tried the older version of this or the new one, but I kind of really want to get my hands on one. For one thing, I think this is really pretty, its gold and sparkly which sounds right up my alley, plus its half of mermaid water and that sounds like something I’d enjoy.

You’ve Been Mangoed Luxury Bath Oil this one is something that I have and haven’t tried, yes, it’s both. I have tried out the old style of this one and quite enjoyed it but I just haven’t gotten my way around to trying out the new formula, I really want to though.

Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub is something that I’ve already tried before, there are only three or four things that I’ve tried before but I haven’t had any of them in large sizes or more than once, so I decided to throw them in and this is one of them. I love to use this before I shave, nothing is quite as good as this but because I use it on my legs it ends up getting used up so easily and it’s expensive, but I would love to pick up a giant pot of this one.

Jersey Bounce Shampoo this is another one that I have had a small pot of before but am really itching to get my hands on, I just go through it so quick and there is no longer a Lush close to me so it’s just kind of a pain in the ass to get a hold of frequently, meaning shipping gets expensive when I’m buying this every two weeks. Then again, I could stock up on it I guess, either way, I really want to try this out again.

Tangled Hot Oil Treatment is something that I want to try because as my hair gets longer and longer it becomes more tangled and a little bit of a hassle, so I’m just curious if this would help my hair out and I really want to give it a go.

Hair Custard Hair Dressing this is something I’ve had a sample of and it went a long way, so that’s a little bit of why I’ve been putting off picking up a full size of this product, that and just the fact that it doesn’t really do much for me other than tame some of my flyaways and makes my hair smell amazing, but maybe that’s good enough of a reason to pick it up?

Sunny Day Hair Detangler is yet another thing that I’d like to try because of my hair being a tangled mess, I have leave in conditioner and detangler already but I love Lush and want to see how this holds up.

Celestial Facial Moisturizer the only reason I haven’t picked this up is because I have so many moisturizers at all times, I pick up samples all over the place and especially since I subscribe to the Sephora Play box, but I’ve always wanted to own this.

Breath of Fresh Air Toner  is a more recent addition to the list here, but it’s something that I want to get my hands on because I’ve been getting really into skin care as of recently and I don’t think I really have a toner.

Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter. I have a cuticle butter that I am working on but once that one is finished I’m really thinking about picking this one up, I just can’t decide if I want this for sure or not because it seems like a lot of product and it seems really lotion like, but I’m still kind of lusting after it.

From Dusk ‘Til Dawn Massage Bar is a weird one for me, I’ve never used a massage bar before but I do love moisturizing things and I really love the way that this one smells, so maybe this we’ll be something that I end up giving a shot. My only question is how to store this one since it’s such an odd shape, Lush should really make tins for their strangely shaped products.

Sophisticated Eyeshadow is something else I really want to try and this is something that I’ll probably pick up the next time I’m in a Lush store, I really like makeup and playing with it, plus I’ve been reviewing a lot more and never dipped into the mass amount of makeup that Lish sells so this may be something that I need in my life very soon.

Perspective Lipstick is another makeup product that I haven’t tried, I haven’t tried any of the makeup at all and often forget that they sell it, but this lipstick looks really gorgeous and like something that might be right up my alley.

And those are all of the Lush products that I’m lusting after, excluding a few random odds and ends, and all of the seasonal things just because I didn’t want to put in things that you can’t get all year round on this list, plus it was already plenty long without mothers day and easter.

So, what Lush products are on your Lush wishlist?

2017 Makeup Wishlist

I know I’m a little bit late in a way, not that there is a specific timeline for something like this, but it’s still the beginning of the year in my head and this just didn’t make the cut last month. So, this month I’m going to talk about all of the makeup that I’m just lusting after and really want to try this year, some of which I may get my hands on and some of which I may end up changing my mind on, who really knows. But, at this very moment in time, these are all of the products I’m really lusting after, and there will be quite a few due to me having a problem. I think I have the same problem most other beauty bloggers have, the need to want to try every single thing. Anyway, now that I’ve rambled on for too long let’s just jump right on into talking about all of the things.

Lush Boxing Day Wishlist

Merry Christmas to all of those who celebrate! I hope you’re having a wonderful day today and all is well for you.
I didn’t orginally start with this but I just had to go back and delete what I had written out because I was completely wrong about something so I had to start from scratch because of that.
Anyway, for this post today I decided that I wanted to do something a little bit on topic to the day but nothing too sappy, I know I could have probably gone more festive or more heartfelt but I have some of these coming up for the new year and decided to blog about something else today. Lush. Yep, my obsession continues, and if you didn’t know tomorrow is the one sale a year that they have, it’s there boxing day sale and everything holiday related is buy one get one free. So, for today I decided to share with you guys some things that I’m kind of eyeing and may need to pick up tomorrow during the sale. Let’s get into it.
